I can't believe that someone so talented died so young. Even if I'm relatively new to RT and hardly knew Monty Oum, I greatly admired him, from what his colleagues say about him and his work with RWBY.
But I'm really proud to be in a community/fandom that is so ready to help in times of emergency (raising 3 times the amount of funds for Monty's family!) My thoughts are with Monty's family and friends.

hello its been a while! just logging in to say I will be deleting a big portion of my gallery in light of that dumb decision da made (and leaving behind only the worst of my gallery to mess that algo up : ) Please respect that I still own my characters and will not be giving them away; I am only removing my presence from this website. Simple: Shading done in a separate layer, line art is just a darker shade of the darkest colour on the base, generally easier for me
Complex: Everything done on one layer, line art is more complex to show light source and more complicated light
Animated: If you don't specify an action, I will animate whatever I feel is natural for your character, either a simple animation or a complex animation.

What a huge blow, RT community must be devastated.
I loved his Dead Fantasy series way back when, and was so excited when Roosterteeth announced that Monty Oum was joining the fray!
Since then, the man left quite the mark, easily one of the most inspiring animators out there.
It's so heartbreaking to hear he will be powering down for the last time.
RIP Monty Oum
The community is indeed amazing to raise so much in so little time. Monty touched the hearts of many. His legacy will live on, as it should <3
My condolences to his family and friends.
